Fellowships & Funding

Your completed application serves as your funding request

With two exceptions, your completed application serves as your request for these forms of funding—no additional forms are necessary.

One exception is the Equal Opportunity Fellowship (EOF), a small grant for economically and/or socially underprivileged students.

The second exception is the McNair Fellowship (for graduates and undergraduates), which is generally available to those who were McNair scholars as undergraduates. A letter of support from the director of the McNair Scholars Program on the student's undergraduate campus is required to document your status as a McNair Scholar.

Need-based financial aid

Eligible students are encouraged to apply for need-based financial aid. The IU Graduate School maintains information about graduate student need-based aid and student loans.

Various jobs are available on campus, including jobs and assistantships in other departments and centers.
