I think this project at Indiana University to collect the stories of same sex married couples is enormously important. We learn in our Fight for the Freedom to Marry that telling our stories, helping people understand who gay people are, and why marriage matters, is the profound engine of change. We need to capture these stories, we need to keep telling those stories, and we certainly need to make them part of the history about how our movement has progressed, and where we’re going as we move forward, sitting today in April of 2017.
